For the fourth day, we visited the famous Golden Circle in Iceland. The place we stayed is very convenient as it is only 15 min. away from our first stop, Gullfoss waterfall. Then we drove to the Geysir geothermal area where is the highlight of today’s visit. Geysir is not active anymore; however, Strokkur, is still active and shooting the jet of boiling water every five to ten minutes. I love to watch and capture the moment of the eruption and fascinated to see the sapphire-alike-bubble before the burst. After spending quite some time at the Geysir, we went to see the crater Kerið that is formed by the collapse of the volcano. The last stop of the day was Seljalandsfoss waterfall. There is a cave behind the waterfall, and it gives an excellent opportunity to see the waterfall from the back.
